Methodology

How prices, stock, unit metrics and provider facts are collected, normalised and compared.

Data pipeline

A poller fetches every provider catalog every 15 minutes and stores price, stock and spec changes as validity intervals in Postgres. Pages are static and regenerated when new data arrives (at the latest every 15 minutes).

What we compare

Offers are grouped by class (dedicated, auction, cloud, VPS). Unit metrics divide the effective monthly price by cores, threads, RAM, storage, NVMe, port speed, traffic or GPUs. Percentiles rank an offer against the same class only.

Provider facts

Provider-wide facts (IPv6, DDoS protection, contract terms, KYC …) are extracted from the providers’ own pages and published only with a verbatim quote, the source URL and the date we checked it. No quote, no fact.

Licensing

Benchmark values are published only from sources whose license allows it, with attribution. Prices and stock are factual data collected from public pages.
